[Four Seasons in the Mountains] records Tsai Ken’s life in Sanzhi. The place where he lives is not in a remote mountain area but surrounded by lush green trees. There he can hear birds chirping and insects singing in well-marked seasons. Either exercising in the morning or walking around every day, Tsai encapsulated the decades of his tranquil life in this work.
