The work [Star-Eyes] (2013) seems to portray a canopy of stars if the viewer gazes at it from a distance. The viewer wouldn’t notice that they’re actually eyeballs with different iris colors until taking a closer look. They are cast adrift in the vast universe, and only three of them are incarcerated in a cage used for walking a bird in Chinese tradition. Those who roam freely in the universe may be all sentient beings, whilst those being caged may be you, me and him. Physically restricted though, our exploratory line of sight has reached outwards through the cage wire to the farthest galaxy in the universe.
