[My Galleries V - Each the Same? (Essence - White, the Reformed)] is a piece of Chen’s Taipei Series.

The artist taped three sources of patterns in My Galleries. The first was the existing signs of the galleries. Some of these patterns were sheer appropriations, while others were modified in consideration of figurative harmony. Besides, the artist used black and white to imply that each exhibition could offer both rewarding and unsettling experiences, and she needed to take the rough with the smooth. This group of works was further divided into four sets, and all the patterns in bright colors belonged to the two sets that represent positive experiences.
