Estranged Rhythm

Artist Statement

A fitting painting always comes naturally.

It effortlessly embodies an inner logic and subtly reveals rational poetry.

Everything seems to have emerged ingeniously from all its conditions.

"Estranged Rhythm" shows a calm and nostalgic rhythm.

In order to create enough space for the sound and prevent it from suffocating, one has to clarify one's past viewing habits.

By quickly capturing the repetition and difference, texture and touch in the work, the tension of synchronous combinations, logical rhythm, and the use of various media, can be played out.

Carefully employing methods such as coordinate positioning, geometric lines, and other possibilities.

Arranging, reducing, modifying various combinations, and repeatedly transforming until the proportions and relationships of all elements in the image reach their optimum.

In the visual traversal and lingering in the image, an abstract process is realized and reduced to a pure form.

Behind the visible form of the painting are a structure and a space that is beyond interpretation.

Perhaps it cannot be "understood", but it can be clearly "seen".

What the viewer sees is the sum of the block rhythm of suggestive movement and the spatial illusion with its dual and contradictory imagery.

I express myself with a rhythm of simplification, simplification, and further simplification.

|Tsong Pu──The World Comes From “Something”|

Every artist is keen to express himself/herself, insofar as to affect the majority viewpoint. Actually, it is little more than a utopian ideal of attempting the impossible or presenting something extremely onerous to present. Difficulties notwithstanding, I’m delighted to be the artist.

As far as I’m concerned, avant-garde is synonymous with subversion or revolution. Change your ways and you can change everything! Keep re-orientating yourself and you’ll blaze a trail!
